11/30/2010 Tonight I came home from a dental study club meeting to Max smelling fabulous after his bath in his fleece Buzz LightYear Pajamas! He is full of energy and throwing tennis balls down the hallway and laughing and running to go get them -playing fetch by himself and having an amazing time doing it!
12/1/2010 Max has been super interested in books the past month, which is nice because before you would listen a bit while we read to you and would get up to do something else, now you say Read Dee Book Mommy and point to EVERYTHING saying What's that?! You are so smart, so curious! You are soaking things up like a sponge! Your favorite books right now are a football book that teaches all the terminology and a book called I love Trucks - I have read it to you so many times I can recite the whole thing by heart! The book says Trucks Trucks Trucks I love Trucks - and Max, you say Tucks Tucks Tucks Mommy!
I was trying to think of all the words you can say now --- there are so many there is no possible way I could list them all at this point. I know your first word was "hi" because I told you Hi all the time, and you say it now really cute, sometimes when you wake up you say "Hi Mom!" So adorable!
People you Know - PopPop and Nana (my parents) and Poppy/Papi (but you can't say Grandma yet!) for your Dad's parents! Mommy, Momma, Mom, Dad, Daddy, Dadda.
You call Maddy Dog Dog and just very recently decided her name isn't Maddy its "Manny" --- we find this hilarious and always ask you what your dogs name is and agree with you when you call her Manny because it's just so danged cute! You Are tirelessly concerned about your dog dog and want to know her location at all time - Where'd dog dog go? Dog Dog Night Night? In Derr? When you are away from home you always talk about her like you can't wait to see her, but sometimes when she is in your room you get really upset and say Out Dog Dog Out --- You yell! Move Dog Dog and your latest - Go Away! - which you picked up from your parents because we are always telling her to stop whining and go away when she annoys us! You also tell us to go away pretty often - even though we repeatedly remind you that it's not nice - you get this cute little grin on your face that makes it very hard not to smile back at you!
You call Aunt Tiffaney Tee Tee and Brea Bwee - you recently learned Cassidy and call him Casty and you are equally concerned with the location and wherabouts of Breanna's Dog Luxe. You call him Lox - Where's Lox? Every time I mention Aunt Brea, you chime in with "and Lux?" - You love Uncle Matt - You are always asking where he is and even though you really don't spend all that much time with him the few times you have gone to his soccer games or practices caused you to say "Matt kick the ball, Mom Matt ... he kicks the ball" You would say it over and over and over - especially laying in bed at night, you would sit up like you had a lightbulb moment with something very important to say - and would ask where Matt is and remind me that he kicks the ball! I remember laying on the floor in your room and you kept telling me, after a period of silence - where'd matt go? I tell you He's night night Max, and you say Matt kick the ball, put your binky back in your mouth... funny on paper but MANNNN did you tell me this phrase a million times for a period of a couple weeks - now you only say it randomly... YOu have recently learned to understand and say house and home --- so when you ask where's nana and pop pop I say at Nana's house, and you say "Nana ouse?" --- you always think every time we get in the car that's where you are going is Nana's House....
You know all of your teacher's names and have for some time. Ms Amy is at the front desk and she is your favorite. You hug her hello every morning and you run in there so sweet and you call her Mamee--- you point to the school bus every time and remind her that theres a bus outside in the parking lot - in the evenings you run out of your class to the front hollering Mamee Mamee.... You call Ms Rita "Ree Ree", and you call Sadie, who was your favorite in the very beginning - because she is young and very cute mind you and loves you to pieces! - You call her Daydee - Her name was hard for you to say and was one of the last names you ended up learning. Nae - you learned quickly because you already knew that horses say "Nay Nay" - and you usually say NAY with enormous enthusiasm! Especially when you see a horse or a picture of one. Nanna and poppop gave you a wooden rocking horse thing that you love to get on there and say Nay Nay Nay - yelling it actually - and ask to get on there by saying Nay Nay Mommy, On?
Your teachers at daycare love you like their own child. Ms Shirley was your first teacher there when you started in June and was the only person you cared for for a very long long time! We called her your other grandmother and she always took very special care of you! Ms Candy is Ms Shirleys daughter - she works in the kitchen - she calls you Max a Million and you love her - she's always in such a good mood and loves you to bits Max! Ms Sadie and Ms Nae are always telling me good things about you - Always saying how smart you are, how much you talk, and participate, that you listen, love to sing, dance, - they say you talk SO much more than the other kids in your class and that you are such a lovable little boy! Affectionate and sweet! Sadie says you love to read books and bring her books and sit in her lap and said "Daydee read dee book " and you plop down in her lap, you actually listen to the story and want her to read it again.
They took most of the throwable objects out of your classrooms because you have a VERY good arm and can launch things across the room --- you often come home from daycare with bumps and bruises - usually on your head. One time a few months ago you skinned your knee and you told me - knee ouch - fall down, yahhh yahh ...everytime - still even today much later, you still say the same thing - I came to figure out you were saying Yah Yah because Ms Angela took care of you the day that you fell down ...your knee has long since healed but if I ask you where your knee is you say knee ouch as you point to it.
You have had a few girlfriends at school! Emma was your first love - Emma Sanchez - she lives next door as a nice coincidence but you are only sometimes in the same class because she is 6 or 7 months older than you are. Alaysia - who has been adopted and they changed her name to Beckah - is the only other girl in your class. you two had a period where you would chase each other around and give each other hugs and kisses - it was adorable - but your crush seems to have faded over time!
I bought you some brown boots last month with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story on them - you got so excited when we took them out of the box and they look adorable on you! You love to wear them and often don't want to take them off ! You say Boots! Boots! you LOVE your boots - your father has been known to let you sleep in them when he's in charge --- I am usually better at coaxing you out of them for bed time :)
Max - you always have so much enthusiasm and SOOO much energy! You love balls - like seriously if they were your only toy I really think you would be fine with it! you throw them across the room, chase them down, fight with the dog over them (some serious meltdowns have occurred!) you love baseballs, basketballs, and footballs and can name them all! Backetball, BayBall, and ootball --- you say throw the ball, catch the ball, catch it, ALMOST!, you put alot of emphasis on CATCH it --- and its so cute, kick the ball, Max catch the ball, Alllll Right, you say Touchdown and holler, you say home run also ---- YOu have several baseball bats and you will ask where'd the bat go? and I'll tell you it's in your room and you'll point and say "in derr?" and you have begun to say room as "oom" and "Max's oom". YOu say Bat hit the ball, and for Many many months you have been able to use the fisher price tee ball set and hit balls across the room over and over for up to an hour. You don't quit kid! You love it and say YAAYYYY and I taught you to run around and pretend you got a home run and you get so excited and slide on the ground. I can't emphasize enough how much you love balls - you love to play outside with the ball and run crazy all over the back yard throwing and chasing them, chasing the dog, throwing them up at the fence and laughing and throwing them up and you say Uppppp----- DOWWWWNNN!!!
You have loved watching sports from the beginning - since you were an infant - and are just as happy watching sports center as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse haha! Baseball used to be the only thing that would calm you down when you were crying - you would just watch the ball and stare at the TV with such a content look in your eyes! You love to watch any sports TV with Dad and baseball is probably your favorite though recently you have taken a huge interest in football. When the pitcher pitches a ball, you like to throw the ball at the same time or pretend to be throwing a ball, and you say "go, go, go!" and "catch the ball" and "throw the ball!" Football you say kick the ball, and run run run and get so excited about touchdown no matter what team it is. You think penalty's are touchdowns when people have their hands in the air and you say catchdown! YOu havent learned to say touchdown completely yet - when we took you to watch the SHSU SFA game in the end of October we took you to Reliant Stadium and you loved it - though you were thoroughly interested in Sammy the mascot, but when he got close you freaked out :)
That's all I have for now ... I still have a list of other random things I wanted to make sure I documented at some point I will add those and try to keep up !!
